Your first visit

What to expect at the Liturgy.

A Coptic Orthodox Divine Liturgy is reverent, ancient, and full of song. If it is your first time, simply arrive, find a seat, and let the worship carry you.

The service is prayed and chanted, with much of it sung by the deacons and the congregation. It is normal for people to arrive for Matins and stay through the Liturgy. You are free to sit, stand, and follow along at your own pace.

Holy Communion is received by Orthodox Christians who have prepared through prayer and fasting. Everyone is warmly welcome to attend, pray, and share in the fellowship that follows.
